Carolyn's Opinions - November 2014

* Comedian Bill Cosby is in a mess. So many women eager to talk about his unchecked libido forced on them. He has never been charged with any of the allegations of rape and sexual abuse some forty-five years ago, and the statute of limitations has expired. So why did comedian Hannibal Burress bring it up in his comedy routine? Why hasn’t anyone asked him why he did it? If it was part of his act, he should say so and diminish some of this controversy. Why is he being left out of the fray?

But now it’s too late. The hounds have picked up the scent, and women are coming from everywhere to accuse Poor Bill of his past decades of indiscretions. All unproven to date. Even the money we’re told Cosby paid to many of them on a monthly basis is on the word of one man who claims he was the one who mailed the money orders.

Bill Cosby’s tour dates are being canceled left and right. And, there are others who will suffer in this situation right with Bill Cosby. TV Land and other networks have taken his family show off the air. I’m sure Cosby won’t miss the residuals. Even from his canceled live shows. But what about the other cast members? Some of them are probably living off the residuals. If so, they too, will never recover from such short notice of termination.

* In Massachusetts, the Methuen Police Department used the Veterans Day holiday to conduct a practice drill in a high school. The practice carried out drills for cases in which a school shooting takes place. The first of its kind, how to track a shooter. Excellent idea.

* National crime sprees are up: Breaking into cars at shopping malls, stolen cars, gun robberies, people attacked for their money, stolen clothes and tools. All are indications of the poor economy.

* Mental illness needs to be addressed on a national level. There has been an epidemic of mentally ill people abusing, handicapping and killing others. School and campus shootings are becoming commonplace as children as well as adults are killing our future. Teachers are sexually assaulting their pupils. Pupils are sexually assaulting their teachers.

There needs to be an increase in public service announcements to educate and take away the stigma of mental illness. Get help for these people before they suffer a personal health crisis and take it out on others. They need help, not shot down in a hail of police fire after the fact.

* I am not in favor of drones. The use of drones is an idea that is a disaster waiting to happen. We can’t even navigate highways without accidents, let alone drones flying in the air. Now we’ll have to watch out for cars running into us on the ground, as well as drones falling on our heads. There have already been near accidents with anonymous drones and airplanes in the air. I wish the Powers that Be would reconsider its use.

* The NoNoPro hair removal system: This product costs $270 plus s&h. WTF! Are we that cursed with unwanted hair on our bodies? What about using the plastic razor blade that we use under our arms? Those still work….

* I heard Patti LaBelle sing on The View. Even in her seventies, she still has a beautiful multi-ranged voice, clear, and controlled.

* I hope I never do anything ‘interesting’ that shows up in the natural news. I would definitely be embarrassed or extremely angry. The series “Law and Order - SVU” did a program on the Baltimore Ravens football player Ray Rice domestic dispute fiasco, where he allegedly punched out his wife in an elevator. I was embarrassed for the attention the portrayed TV wife received on the show with her “Stand by Your Man” at all costs attitude.

* Although the offices of Vogue have moved into One World Trade in New York City, Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour refuses to until the rats are exterminated from the building. Sounds like a reasonable request to me, although the building is so large, it may never happen. However, what does it say about Wintour who still has her employees work there while she works elsewhere? Hmmm….

It’s a crying shame that Beyonce and Jay-Z allow their child Blue Ivy to go around without her hair combed. They call it the ‘natural’ look. I call it the ‘nappy’ look. I mean, what are they thinking? They don’t leave their homes without their hair being greased and combed. Beyonce has her hair styled every day. I think they’re too lazy to fight with her every day while they comb her hair. They should hire someone to do it.

Tip – When you put a web site name on your page, make sure you test it and it works before presenting it to the world.

Former Sesame Street Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash has had all three sexual charges against him dropped due to the statute of limitations. What next for the puppeteer?

Kidnap Prevention: Every child should be given a secret word that will let him or her know its safe to go with a person. Even if it’s a relative-if the person doesn’t know the secret word, teach children to not go with the person.

I recently dyed my hair. Now every time I pass a mirror, I scare myself.

One could make an argument that United States citizens are an unforgiving people. I was watching a story about writer Jayson Blair. He was a reporter for the New York Times newspaper that was caught falsifying news stories. It made me curious about others who have made national mistakes, like former Washington Post journalist Janet Cooke (30 years ago) popular cook Paula Deen, golfer Tiger Woods, R&B singer Chris Brown, and more recently, the infamous Monica Lewinski.

Interesting to see that even the very, very rich have family problems. In the case of the elevator fight between Jay Z and Beyonce’s sister Solange, money apparently couldn’t give Solange class. I guess Jay Z has one more problem. Um, Um, Um.

What kind of heartless man goes into the children’s section of a public library and steals the pet turtle? What was on his alleged mind?

I don’t believe ex-Patriots football player and alleged murderer Aaron Hernandez will ever leave prison.

How many &#@*%$! Times are they going to show The Day After Tomorrow with Dennis Quaid on TV? What are they trying to tell us?

Prank Call or a Call for Help?

I received a telephone call this morning from a gentleman who apparently had nothing else to do but call strangers. After we exchanged hellos, he started to talk to me, initiating a conversation. He spoke as if we were friends. For a minute, I thought we were friends, and I just didn’t recognize his voice.

When I asked who he was, he expressed surprise and said he must have called the wrong person. Then he continued his conversation. It was clear to me that he was one of those weird guys who call strangers, and pick up idle conversation. I admit that I was a little intrigued.

After listening to his one-sided chitchat for a short time, I told him that I was going to get off the telephone so that he could call the person that he originally intended to call. He said, ”Well, to be honest with you, I like talking to you and hearing your voice rather than her”. That ended my superficial interest. I thanked him and hung up.

This type of prank call is something that has been going on since my college years. It's probably gone on even further than that in the telephone world. Strangers call your phone and begin a conversation, initially making you think you know him. Invariably, talk starts to veer into a sexual discussion. They try to keep you on the phone as long as possible, desperate to talk to anyone.

I sometimes wonder if these really are prank callers. It’s always a man. These guys are looking to connect with the outside world. I sometimes feel sorry for the person on the other end. The desire to have human contact so much that one just dials the telephone to speak to anyone who answers is a little compelling.

Of course, it’s probably just a man who pleasures himself as he talks. Either way, it’s best to hang up as soon as you discover you don’t know the person. Prank call or not, he’s someone taking up your valuable time.

Carolyn's Opinions - March 2014

Singer Chris Brown was thrown out of anger management rehab and was immediately tossed into jail. He will stay there until April 23rd. Mr. Brown has continued to be under court jurisdiction since he beat up singer Rihanna in 2009. Clearly, several stints in rehab could not rehabilitate Chris Brown. Maybe jail will.

Legendary R&B singer James Brown died in 2006, but is still buried in his daughter's back yard because the family is fighting over his 100 million dollar fortune. Pitiful.

Some hospitals are allowing long term patents to receive visits from their pet dogs. It improves morale. I hope they extend these visits to all hospitals, and allow cats, too.

Talk show host Conan O’Brien has the thinnest legs I have ever seen on a man. He’s 6’4” and his legs look like stilts. When he does his monologue, it’s very distracting.

Good for Jimmy Fallon for bringing comedian Joan Rivers back on The Tonight Show after a 26-year ridiculous banishment. This courageous act shows his maturity and clout in show business. Boo on Jay Leno. Long live the new King of Late Night!

The Day After Tomorrow

There must be a reason why they keep showing the movie The Day After Tomorrow, about global warming and catastrophic climate changes, on television, released in 2004. Scientists said the movie was propaganda. Considering the extreme climate changes we’ve been experiencing lately, maybe it’s becoming closer to the truth. Maybe we need to start learning Spanish and thinking about moving below the Equator.

Question: Why do scientists say it’s not possible for the Earth to have another Ice Age?

6 Reasons to Break Up with Your Man

Basketball star Dwayne Wade and actress Gabrielle Union were recently engaged. The pair had a close relationship for over four years. They then decided to take a ‘break’ away from each other. This was due primarily because Ms. Union had two movies scheduled back to back. Distance was an issue between the two.

During their break Mr. Wade had a baby with a close friend of his, the ex-girlfriend of Damon Wayans Jr. Four months later, the 32-year old Wade and Union got back together. Wade gave the 41-year old Union an engagement ring, which she accepted. This begs the question, if your man had a baby during a break in a relationship, would you take him back?

The term ‘break’ is one that needs to be explained and specifically defined. Technically, it usually means that a couple is separated and no longer a couple for a period of time. People are doing all kinds of things during a ‘break’ these days. And they usually believe that whatever they do during that period should not be held against them.

Taking a break means you are on a vacation from the relationship. But what you do during a break and with who should factor into whether or not you get back together. In my humble opinion, here are some circumstances about which I think it should be very difficult to go back into a relationship.

1. Your man has a baby with a woman during your break. This is such an egregious situation that it should now be called the “Union Break”

2. He has a baby by your best friend

3. Your man went back to his ex-girlfriend. Specifically, the one he had before you.

4. He dated your best friend - exclusively

5. He openly dated a coworker of yours

6. He married, and then divorced your best friend. If dating a best friend or having a baby by your former best friend is not enough, certainly his marrying your best friend should end one, if not both, relationships

Union says it was a mistake to schedule so much time away from Wade to make two movies. I say it shows his short attention span. Surely she will have to be away from Wade in the future for months if she plans to continue her acting career.

Why she took him back is a mystery. Still, the one good decision she plans to implement is to require her and Wade to sign a pre-nuptial agreement. She now understands his propensity to stray, and signing a pre-nup will ensure that her money, if not her heart, will be protected. .

Carolyn's Corner - February 2014

The U.S. is experiencing major snow storms. At the same time, the movie ‘The Day After Tomorrow’ is on TV almost every three days, every week. Are they trying to tell us something? And, who are “They”, anyway? Meanwhile, the West Coast is suffering from a major drought. Has the Earth turned on its axis? What’s going on?

I think Jimmy Fallon was an excellent choice to replace Jay Leno. I wish him luck.

Watched the 2013 TV documentary “Finding the Funk”, about the evolution of funk music. Great to see performers that I followed back in the Day.

‘The Biggest Loser’ TV show is a CONTEST. The premise is, whoever loses the most weight wins. Rachel Frederickson lost the most weight. The 24 year old lost 155 lbs. down to 105 lbs, a size 2 at 5’4”, continuing the diet plan given to her by one of the show’s dieticians. She won two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Now everyone is appalled that she looks too thin. This what happens when the program doesn’t place restrictions on contestant weight loss.

The 2006 movie ‘Dreamgirls’ and Jennifer Hudson’s Oscar winning performance still gives me chills every time I watch it. In my opinion, singer-song writer Siedah Garrett would have won an Oscar for one of her two nominated songs if the winning song the year before hadn’t been ‘It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp.’

Saw a Black History Month movie, the 1996 ‘Panther’, about the founding of the Black Panther Party. Many recognizable veteran actors and civil rights activists of the era are in it. Educational regarding the Panther’s Ten Point Program, and the times when we were trying to act as an organized community on the national level. Also surprising that the Movie Network would show it. Kudos to them.

As we stay cooped up indoors, let’s make sure we check and change our smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries so we don’t die in our sleep.

Jennifer Hudson’s singing tribute to Aretha Franklin on the BET Honors 2014 television program brought chills up and down my spine.

I am soooo glad I didn’t charge anything from Target for Christmas

I may be old-fashioned. But I remember a time when the word ‘bullshit’ never came out of anyone's mouth on television. Now people say it at will.

Why does the heat come on every time I pass my thermostat?

Watching ‘Cops’ on TV. If you’re carrying drugs and have a broken taillight, you’re going to jail. If you have drugs on you, and a pocket full of money, you’re stupid and going to jail. If you keep your hands in your pockets, and the police ask you to take them out, and you don’t, you could end up in handcuffs, on the ground, tazed, or in jail, or all of the above. What a show.

Justin Bieber used to be such a nice singer. Now he’s just ordinary.

Carolyn's Opinions December 2013 Part 3 of 3

On the Arsenio Hall Show, Chance the Rapper talked about starting a union for rappers. It’s a good idea. I wish he were able to better articulate the process. Rapper novices in particular need a venue where they get the opportunity to work their craft without getting ripped off on the way up. I hope he’s able to bring it to fruition.

So, Saturday Night Live can afford to hire superstars Jimmy Fallon, Madonna, Sir Paul McCartney, Justin Timberlake, Barry Gibb, and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, all for the same show. All white people by the way, and I love them all. But, I notice that the show still can’t seem to spend that same kind of money toward finding a black female comedienne cast member. Hmmmm.

The Target credit card fiasco proved one thing. That having a Christmas club where you cash out is the best way to do Christmas shopping. I am lucky I didn’t go to Target this year, and I plan to use cash next year.

Good Morning America newscaster Robin Roberts finally came out by thanking her girlfriend of ten years. It’s about time.

I was watching the1949 version of the Walt Disney cartoon Cinderella. It's funny - when you are a kid and you watch a movie, you don't notice everything. As an adult I noticed that when Cinderella is turned into a princess, she has blonde hair. Yet, when she's turned back into regular Cinderella, her hair is dark brown. Is that Disney's way of saying that blondes have more fun and success?

Also, why are the two sisters sleeping in the same bed in a huge mansion? I think this movie is trying to tell us a lot more than a Disney movie should.

I think Season Six of the Real Housewives of Atlanta is about all I will be able to suffer. These women are too long in the tooth to be acting the way they do. Their actions are too repetitive, and after six years of watching grown women implode every week, my television taste has gone into other directions.

I had a good Christmas!

Carolyn’s Opinions December 2013 Part 2

A West London public housing management company came under fire for sending to the tenants a newsletter. It essentially told the tenants they wanted them to pay their rent for December.

The tenants were insulted that such a notice went out around Christmas time. However, the management company stated that over 46% of the tenants of the property were behind in their rent. It wanted to make sure that they could not use Christmas as an excuse to get even further behind in the rent.

I believe this is a good preventive decision by this management company. People in general tend to overindulge with Christmas presents and other festivities during the holidays. They should be reminded with a reality check that tenants should consider paying their rent first for December. Rent is what keeps a property maintained. Rent is just as important as the holidays, and needs to be acknowledged.

Carolyn’s Opinions – December 2013 - Part 1 of 3

* Watching “Hoarders–Buried Alive” television show. The relatives show up at the hoarders home, horrified and angry about the devastation. Almost without exception, the homes are filled almost to the ceiling with waste and clothes. The bathrooms are unusable. Mice run around everywhere.

The relatives say, “I never had a clue. Never in my wildest dreams.” I’m wondering, where were the relatives long before these homes were destroyed? Some of the children haven’t been to their parent’s home in years. The relatives should be ashamed of themselves.

* I think the TV show King of Queens Season 3 episode “Strike Out” is funny as Hell.

* I just saw ‘Five Easy Pieces’, starring Jack Nicholas, for the first time. I was not impressed at all.

* Mike Tyson was recently forbidden from entering Great Britain to promote his book because he is a convicted felon. Do you think that in the United States, that after one has served his or her time in prison, all rights as a citizen such as voting, housing, employment, etc. should be reinstated?

* What’s happened to comedian Carlos Mencia?

Here’s a question. What do you do when your neighbor’s legal pot smoking is driving you crazy? The smell is permeating into your apartment. You have asthma. Short of moving out, what can you do?

If Jay Z is so concerned about his reputation regarding his deal with New York’s Barneys, he should pull out. He is rich enough to do business with people who don’t mistreat people of color. Even more, he has the ability to make Barney’s change their policies in exchange for his business with them. At what point is there not enough money in the world to do something?

I have to say that comedian Andrew Dice Clay’s acting has vastly improved over the years. I enjoyed his recent performance on the television show ‘The Blacklist.’

It seems like everything I buy is in a smaller and smaller package, and costs more and more money

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are still not married! I guess neither one wants to put a ring on it…Hmmm

Some advice from an article on the Internet – If you are seriously ill, call 911 from a landline. The police can better track where you are to send an ambulance if you are no longer able to speak, unlike on a cell phone. Good Advice for saving time getting to you

I believe that Hypocrisy is one of the biggest sins on this earth. Alleging to have characteristics that one lacks (Wikipedia). Acting in ways that you tell others not to do…

Who decides when a person speaking should be in subtitles on television? This happens a lot on the program ‘Beyond Scared Straight.’ They do it with both the prisoners and the juveniles.

First of all, I don’t have a problem understanding what they say. Do they allow the TV producer to decide who gets subtitles, or a committee of people? Second of all, when it’s done, it makes it seem like they have speech impediments, which they don’t. Third, I think it further stigmatizes urban people, suggesting that their speech is one reason why they are in trouble with the prison system, both black and white.

I know it’s just a cartoon. But killing off Brian the dog on The Family Guy was a mistake. He was the most functional one in the family, and balanced off all the others. I don’t know if I want to see the new character. It just seems like more dysfunction. Where’s the contrast now?

I would say this to any woman in the same position. Khloe Kardasian, dump that zero, and get you a hero. Life’s too short, and you’re still young enough to get a better partner. Lamar has to want to improve, and he’s clearly not ready yet.

If Amber Riley hadn’t won 2013 Dancing with the Stars, there would have been a serious problem. Congratulations!

A judge rejected 66-year-old O.J. Simpson’s request for a new trial. Is anyone surprised?

Too Many Ways to Kill Humanity

There are so many "natural" disasters in the world. Global warming is just another way to say the world is sick of our abuse. It's fighting back with stronger and stronger ways to destroy us. And, by the time we decide to listen, many of us will die.

For Chris Brown, Assaults and a Good Legal Team Pays

Once again Grammy award winning singer Chris Brown, 24, has avoided jail time for an assault. He attacked a man, punching him in the face for trying to jump in a picture Brown was taking with some fans. After a two-day stay in jail, he was released without bail. He was also able to have his charge changed from felony assault, which could have cost him 4 years in prison, to simple assault misdemeanor. He is still serving a five-year probation from his 2009 assault on then girlfriend Rihanna. A hit and run accident in August added 1000 hours to his community service. So far, community service doesn’t seem to be working on his psyche. Mr. Brown, able to hire the best attorney and legal team, has learned that money can and will keep you out of jail. Update: Mr. Brown has signed into a hospital for rehabilitation for his anger management. Good move. Let’s see if this takes.

Can I Sustain?

As you can see, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted here. There have been many trials and tribulations I have experienced since I last posted. Too many to catalogue here. But believe me, there were doozies. The primary issue is that I have too many projects in several areas of my life. Too many to do any one of them justice. And, I now have to admit, I am a perfectionist. I like to do whatever I do well, or not at all. This includes how I govern my personal life. But that will not be explored here. The question is, am I able to pin down just a few of my interests in order to do them well? What can I sustain at this blog? Well, I’m going to try again.

How I Would Manage Fantasia Barrino's Career

I never thought it would happen, but it has finally come to this: I am no longer a fan of singer Fantasia Barrino. It happened recently looking at the 2012 Essence Music Festival. I watched with horror as the very pregnant chanteuse sang ‘Bittersweet’, her only Grammy win to date.

Wearing a long, black, lop-sided, tacky weave; Fantasia kicked off her shoes and sang wild, whipping the crowd in frenzy as she gave her all. She always gives her all. That’s a good part of her brand. Still, she has major entertainment flaws, and needs a complete caeer make over.

Let me start by saying I am a fan of Fantasia Barrino. Her vocal range, ability to sing show tunes and R&B with equal talent, and her passionate singing has held up over the years. Yet, since her win on American idol in 2004, Fantasia has not lived up to the expectations of fans like me, or of her singing genius.

Her manager, Brian Dickens, is primarily a booking agent. He was able to parlay that skill into being hired as Fantasia’s manager. I say he has managed her professional life to low levels where no one of her caliber should ever sit.

If I were her manager, I would make the following changes to jump-start her career again:

• Make her Wear Shoes the entire Time she is on Stage. Fantasia comes on stage looking like an elegant woman. She then immediately takes off her shoes and performs barefoot during the entire performance. How ghetto.

Fantasia is not Patti LaBelle. She is nowhere near that diva level. Ms. Patti does it as part of her act, and she has long ago earned that maneuver as her signature brand; it works for her. On Fantasia, it just looks ghetto and nasty.

• Hire a Publicist to Work on a new Brand. She missed out of receiving her first Grammy award in 2010 because she wasn’t chosen to sing at a tribute to Aretha Franklin. Like a spoiled child, she told the world she did not attend the award show because she felt slighted. A publicist would have said something like, she had a previous commitment or thereabouts.

Fantasia is not always the most eloquent speaker off-stage. She needs a buffer at times. A publicist will highlight Fantasia’s incredible musical talents, and to the extent possible, decrease the negative publicity of her personal life. She should be on the short list to sing on award shows. Not just the BET type shows, but the Kennedy Center Honors type of shows as well.

• Make her take Stage Etiquette Classes. We saw some efforts toward learning stage presence on her reality show. She hired a man who tried to help her entrances and physical singing methods. Apparently, it didn’t take. To her credit, she has improved her red carpet techniques.

• Use a Hair Stylist. Sometimes, especially on her album covers and publicity photos, she looks very well coiffured. Other times, especially at performances like at the 2012 Essence Music Festival, her hair looks like a hot mess.

• No More Tattoos! Do we really have to say anything about this, Fantasia? Really?

• Use a Clothing Stylist and stop wearing ill-fitting Clothes. Okay, so she was once gaining weight to play Mahalia Jackson. Due to her second out of wedlock pregnancy, that deal is gone. She’s had her second child. Now she needs to wear clothes that fit. It's distracting to watch a singer pull and tug at her clothes while on stage. She needs a clothing stylist who will make sure she wears clothes that fit and are true to her brand.

• Leave North Carolina – Fast. With all the scandals, Fantasia needs to leave town and re-build her reputation. She needs to go where the action and work is – Los Angeles, Atlanta, or New York.

• Come up with a New Stage Routine every Year. If I have to hear her sing Rock Steady again as her signature song, I will have a conniption. Get some new upbeat tunes and rotate them.

• Have her Sing a Variety of Songs. Fantasia is not a one-dimensional singer. Her rendition of ‘Summertime' on the American Idol show in 2004 still stands out as one of the best renditions of the song.

This list is meant to re-direct Fantasia’s professional life. Her personal life unfortunately, has lately been the primary focus on her. In addition, as with her professional life, Fantasia has been consistently defiant. That will only go so far for her.

Here is what her lack of professionalism has led her. At the Kennedy Center Honors for Oprah Winfrey in 2010, Jennifer Hudson sang “I’m Still Here” from The Color Purple. At Oprah’s request. What a slap in the face to Fantasia, who sang this signature song in 2007 at the Tony Awards. I have to wonder if she was even considered for this event. Perhaps Oprah was afraid that Fantasia would kick her shoes off on stage.

If I haven’t expressed it outright as of yet, Fantasia Barrino is one of the greatest voices of the 21^st Century. However, her manager and Fantasia’s stubbornness are killing her and her unique voice by squandering and pandering to behaviors that are not conducive to keeping a long-term career.

It’s time for Fantasia Barrino to re-claim her initial greatness by re-inventing herself, as did Jennifer Hudson and Jordan Sparks. The around-the-way girl brand limits her. Even Mary J. Blige upgraded her image without sacrificing her music to superbly rich results.

It’s still not too late if Fantasia Barrino really wants to be a star instead of a has-been who could-have-been. She needs to embrace class and let go of crass if she wants to be mainstream and perform on television specials and at the theatres that pay big money. Or, she can stay in North Carolina, kick off her shoes on stage, have baby after baby, cover herself in tattoos, keep the baby weight on, stay in one scandal after another, and wonder why no one calls her to perform at the classier events.

Of course, if Fantasia believes she enjoys her current life where she can make all of her own decisions, good or bad, I say live and let live. If she wants to stop being disappointed, used, sued, and passed over, given primarily mediocre songs, she needs to change her personal environment and entertainment behavior - fast. Until then, I won’t watch her anymore, until she grows up.

The Braxton Sisters Need to Grow Up

The Braxton Family Values show sisters need to clean up their act. Who wants to hire some women who couldn’t even get it together to honor their sister Toni Braxton who was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame? That was a damn shame that these four professional singers couldn’t put together a four minute tribute, with more than a month’s advance notice. Toni put her trust in them and was betrayed in return. How long will she be penalized by her sisters’ negative behavior?

Jealousy, envy, and the show are tearing them apart. I predict that none of them will have a man by the end of the second season. If they don’t reign in Tamar, they may not even have a singing career by the time the show is over. By the way, none of them are spring chickens. Whatever they want to do with heir careers, they better make it happen soon.

Anyone who would evict a 103 year old woman should go to Hell with gasoline drawers. Kudos to the sherrif's who refused to do it. Common sense and empathy prevailed.
